EDGAR Online Named One of Connecticut's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in 2001 by the Deloitte & Touche and Connecticut Technology Council Fast 50 Program

 SOUTH NORWALK, CT, October 31, 2001 - EDGAR Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDGR) has been named to the prestigious Deloitte & Touche and Connecticut Technology Council Fast 50 Program for Connecticut, a listing of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. Rankings are based on five-year percentage revenue growth (1996-2000). These companies, which impact a broad spectrum of industries, are defying conventional wisdom by consistently expanding their revenues over a substantial period of time.

EDGAR Online's CEO, Susan Strausberg credits corporate data and subscription sales as the Company's growth driver over the last five years. "EDGAR Online has successfully leveraged technology to deliver specialized, compelling solutions to the corporate marketplace," said Strausberg.

Winners of the 22 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
